“It’s A Small World”

Our “It’s A Small World” event held on Monday, October 31 was a wonderful success.  We had hundreds of folks on campus here enjoying the games and good food from Kado’s Asian Grill food truck.  Our facade of Disneyland’s Small World turned out awesome thanks to Mike, Roger and Dennis.  Our only regret is that since it rained it could not be set up full size and it could not be used for the children’s parade.  Perhaps next year!
On Sunday we made the call to go with our “rain plan” and despite the sunny and dry weather all day as the event begin so did the rain.  We were all so glad we were all warm and dry inside.  We had sixteen activities inside and a special highlight were the six “Trunk or Treat” imagineers who created their own special booth for the kids.  We had the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with Sherry, her son Zach and girlfriend Brittany; lots of pirate speak and plank walking happening at Sandy and Erica’s booth; mucho soccer goals being made at Jessie and Jennifer’s spooky soccer spot; it was a Disney character display tic-tac-toe game hosted by Jean, Joyce and best dressed dog ever, Samone; an epic Star Wars adventure with Ethan and Lindsay; and Sheri, the most talented face painter ever, made magical designs that delighted the little ones.  BIG thank you to them!
Of course, beyond these folks were the many, many, many hands that toiled the days before and during the event who also were key to it’s success.  HUGE thank you to everyone!  Pictures coming soon!
