December Schedule
*Wednesday Night Bible Study is canceled for the remainder of the year and will resume on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018.

*Adult Choir Rehearsal  will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13th.

Ladies’ Christmas Brunch
Saturday, December 16th, 10:00 a.m. at the home of Cindy Livingston

Ladies of All Ages: Join us for holiday fun and fellowship at Cindy’s home! It will refresh and refuel you in the midst of this busy season. If you are new to the church or just want to get better acquainted, this is the perfect occasion. Please sign up at the Information Counter and list the food you will be bringing. We need many hot dishes and a limited number of fruit and muffins/pastries. Maps to Cindy’s home are available on the counter.

 

Come and celebrate the joy of the season at our annual church Christmas party on Wednesday, December 20th at 7:00 p.m. Please bring food to share as follows: Last names A-P bring appetizers; Q-Z bring desserts. Come and have fun with your church family!

 

 

Hume Lake Camp will be July 22-28, 2018. Registration will begin on January 1st, 2018 and will require a $75.00 deposit to secure each camper’s spot. On January 1st, 2018, you will be able to register your student on our web site, vccweb.org 

This Sunday we will be receiving a special love offering to bless our pastors during the holiday season. Please mark your giving envelope “Love Offering”.

 

All CZ and cast members will rehearse from 2:00 to 3:30. Happy Hoppers and Kinders will rehearse at 2:30 pm (parents accompany children). Please make this a priority in your schedule. The group has been working very hard to make this program a success. For more information, check with Pastor Lynn or Pamela Von Behren Merritt.

Thanksgiving Week Schedule
Thanksgiving Eve Service on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:00 PM
The Mix, Club 5-6, Adult Choir and Precept Bible Study will not meet this week.

The church offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

 

We have the opportunity as a church family to participate in our yearly Thanksgiving offering where we each give one day’s pay to this special offering at our Thanksgiving Eve Service on Wednesday, November 22nd, or any Sunday prior to that date.

 

Join us Wednesday, November 22nd, at 7 p.m., as we meet together to offer our thanks and celebrate communion as a church family. An offering for Convoy of Hope will be received that evening, but you may give at any time. Just mark your giving envelope “Thanksgiving”. Plan to bring the entire family to the service. Nursery care will be provided through 3 years of age. Please sign up for Nursery Care at the Information Counter. All other children will join us in the sanctuary where Pastor Lynn will have a special kid talk.

Please note that lunch before rehearsal this Sunday will be in the Conference Room (102), instead of the Fellowship Hall.

 

We have begun a new Adult Sunday School Class, “The Me I Want To Be”, by John Ortberg. This class will look at how we become God’s best version of ourselves. We hope you can join for the next few weeks at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall as we explore this topic.
