Matt Lucas Memorial Camp Scholarships
Applications for the Matt Lucas Memorial Camp Scholarships for children and youth are available at the Information Counter. The due date for turning in your completed application for consideration is Sunday, March 4th. Please be sure to read the eligibility requirements at the top of the application. All students must have their camp spot reserved and deposit paid before applying for the scholarship funds. Funds have been given throughout the year in loving memory of Matt, and the scholarship awards remind the recipients of a young man who “walked by faith” and used his gifts to bless so many in our church family. If you would like to make a donation to this special fund, please mark the “Matt Lucas Camp Scholarship Fund” line on your giving envelope.
  
Nominating Committee
There are board member positions to be filled at our Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, March 18th, following the morning service. If you have someone you would like to nominate, please give your suggestions to one of the committee members : Pat Grant, Roger Haughin, Gregg Passmore, Daisy Piatt or Pastor Kevin. The last day to submit names is Sunday. February 25th.
 
Easter Choir Practice. . . will begin on Wednesday, February 21st at 8 pm following Bible Study. We need all previous choir members and new member who would like to join. Please sign up at the Information Counter.
 
Our Daily Bread
There are copies of the new March – May edition of “Our Daily Bread” devotional available on the Information Counter. Pick up your free copy today if you are interested.
 
Annual Business Meeting
Sunday, March 18th, after Bunch for Lunch
If you are a formal member of Valley Community Church, please plan to attend the business meeting on March 18th, following our Bunch for Lunch, as your presence is needed to establish the necessary quorum required to hold the meeting. Childcare will be provided (infant through elementary age) during the meeting, if you sign up at the Information Counter by Sunday, March 11th.
 
Pastor Kevin and Becky’s 20th Anniversary at VCC
Everyone is invited to join us as we highlight and celebrate Pastor Kevin and Becky faithfully loving and serving the Valley Community Church family for 20 years and counting! Sunday, March 18, 2018, 10:30 am service and at the Bunch for Lunch & Business Meeting following the service. Stop by the Information Counter to sign up for the Bunch for Lunch.
 
Membership Class
If you have attended VCC approximately six months and are interested in becoming a formal member, please pick up a packet at the Information Counter and sign up for the 30-minute required class, to be held after service on Sunday, March 4th in the Conference Room (102). If you need childcare, be sure to mark the sign-up sheet and list their ages. New members will be received on Sunday, March 25th.
 
Baptism Class
If you haven’t been baptized in water and would like to be, please sign up at the Information Counter. There will be a brief class on Sunday, March 11th following service in the Conference Room (102). The baptism service will be on Easter Sunday, April 1st.
 
Children’s Baptism Class
If you have a child who is interested in being baptized and is 8 years of age or older, please sign up at the Information Counter and pick up a baptism packet (packet must be completed prior to baptism class). Pastor Lynn will have a baptism class for students and their parent on Sunday, March 4th at 9:30 a.m. in Room 209. The baptism service will be on Easter Sunday, April 1st.
 
Ladies’ Brunch
Saturday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the home of Pat Grant
Ladies of VCC : Plan to join us for a time of food and fellowship at Pat’s home. Please sign up at the Information Counter for the food you will be bringing. Maps to Pat’s home are available at the Info Counter.
 
Women’s Ministry Piggy Banks
In order for the funds to count towards this year’s District Mission’s Project, your banks need to be turned by Sunday, March 11th. If you don’t have a bank but would like to make a donation, mark your giving envelope W.M. Project. There will be more information about the District Mission’s Project in the coming weeks.
