It’s a Small World
Tuesday, October 31st at 6:30-8:30 pm
 
MORE CANDY NEEDED
. . . There is a container on a table in the lobby for your candy donations, the kind that are individually wrapped.
 
PATRON SAINTS
. . .Thank you to all who have donated already! We have about 3/4 of the funds that are needed for generator lights, inflatable games and other supplies. If you would like to be a Patron Saint to help fund this event, please mark your giving envelope “Patron Saint”. No amount is too small. Your generous donations are what make this neighborhood outreach possible.
 
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
. . . Men, women and youth of every age are needed for a variety of jobs: pre-event preparation, setup, helping with the games, clean up, etc. We especially need people to help set up on Tues., October 31st. A sign-up sheet is available at the Information Counter.
 
“TRUNK OR TREAT”
. . . If you would like to be a part of our “Trunk or Treat” area for October 31st, please sign up at the Information Counter. For more details, contact Pastor Lynn.

Join us after service for a special Bunch For Lunch to celebrate Pat Grant on her 50th anniversary as church treasurer. 
 
Hume Lake Camp will be July 22-28, 2018
Registration begins in January, 2018 for your High School, Middle School and Elementary (ages 8-12 by June 2018) students, and will require a $75.00 deposit to secure each camper’s spot. More information will follow as we get closer to January.

Membership Class
If you have attended VCC for approximately six months and are interested in becoming a formal member, feel free to join the 30-minute required class after service in the Conference Room (102). We will introduce new members to the congregation next Sunday, October 1st.

Christmas Choir
We would love to have you join the choir for the Christmas season! If you are interested, please sign up at the Information Counter. Both former and new members are needed. Choir practice begins Wednesday, October 4th, at 8:00 p.m.
 
Precept Bible Study
Precept will begin this Friday, Sept. 29th at 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. Join us as we begin a new study,“Walking in Power, Love and Discipline”. Sign up today at the Information Counter.

If you would like to be a Patron Saint to help fund this event, please make a note on a green card stating your name and the amount you plan to give. When giving, mark your envelope “Patron Saint”. Convoy of Hope Disaster Relief
As we watch the ongoing challenges in Texas, our hearts and prayers are with those who are suffering. Convoy of Hope is in the affected areas and they are assisting with supplies to people in need. We will take a special offering this Sunday for Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Relief Fund targeted specifically for those in Texas. You may also give directly to Convoy of Hope through their website, www.convoyofhope.org
Wednesday Night Bible Study
Adult Bible Study will resume this Wednesday, September 6th at 7:00 p.m.
Join Steve Brown as he shares “Things That Cannot Be Shaken” from Hebrews 12:25-29. In a world where everything changes, where we are saturated with cable news and social media, we are also a generation looking for and longing for answers to the hard questions of life. It’s never too late to turn to God’s Word for those answers.
Sunday School resumes on Sunday, Sept. 10th
Sunday School Classes will resume on Sunday, Sept. 10th at 9:30 a.m. Our Adult Sunday School Class will be using a new series featuring Dallas Willard titled, “Hearing God”. This course will look at what it means to communicate with God, gaining insights and biblically based guidelines to hearing His voice.
 
Precept Bible Study
Precept Inductive Bible Study will begin Friday, Sept. 29th at 1:00 p.m. Join us as we begin a new study, “Walking in Power, Love and Discipline”. We will delve into 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus to discover God’s wisdom for us in all areas of life, including faith, deeds, morality, leadership and attitude. Sign up at the Information Counter.
 
Baptism Class
If you haven’t been baptized in water, please sign up at the Information Counter. There will be a brief class on Sunday, September 24th following the morning service in the Conference Room (102). The baptism service will be Sunday, October 1st.
 
Children’s Baptism Class
If you have child who is interested in being baptized and is 8 years or older, please sign up at the Information Counter. Pastor Lynn will have a baptism class on Sunday, September 17th. The baptism service will be Sunday, October 1st.
Membership Class
