Early Childhood Department

Our desire is to provide a safe, secure and loving place that encourages these little children to discover God’s love for them and develop a relationship with Him.  Our Early Childhood Director oversees the staffing of our nursery with trained volunteers. We offer care for both 9:30 Sunday School and 10:30 Worship Service.

These groups are determined by a child’s birth date and we adjust the classes as children grow.

Our Nursery has two rooms.
Baby Birds (newborns and toddlers) where we have chosen to use “Little Blessings” curriculum. “Little Blessings” is a complete nursery program for loving God’s little ones, designed to nurture infants and walkers physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Busy Bees (older walkers and young pre-schoolers) enjoy enjoy a hands-on Bible curriculum that is tailored to their busy bodies and teaches them about God through play.

For Older Pre-schoolers through Kindergarten we have two classes.
Happy Hoppers meet downstairs in Room 104 during 10:30am service.  This class also uses the hands-on Bible curriculum that is tailored to their busy bodies and teaches them about God through play. During Sunday (9:30-10:15am), this group meets in the Nursery rooms.  This class goes through Pre-K & Transitional Kindergarten.  Those students beginning Kindergarten in the Fall will promote to Kinder Construction Zone on the second Sunday of September.

Kinder Construction Zone, meets upstairs in Room 209 where teachers use “Heartshaper” curriculum that offers stories, activities and songs to engage this age in learning about God and His love for them.  They enjoy a worship time in the Construction Zone room with the 1st-4th graders.  This class is for children currently in Kindergarten.  Those students will promote to Construction Zone, the elementary children’s church on the second Sunday in September.
